Spark Circus ... the low down!

SPARK! is a group of spectacular international volunteer circus performers who come together to bring joy to groups of disadvantaged children in refugee camps, migrant schools, hospitals and orphanages along the Thai Burmese border.

We reach over 4,000 children each year with our circus-style fire show, playshops and donations of toys, art supplies, and creative tools. Our goal is to lighten their days with magic, wonder, laughter and smiles. SPARK! is completely volunteer based, and relies entirely on your generous donations and community support .

This Year Fleassy and Googley Swan will be joining the Spark Circus family and they are looking for YOUR help to make it happen....

About Fleassy

My name is Fleassy Malay.

I currently spend my days living on a small tropical island in the South of Thailand.
My passion is creative expression, encouraging others and myself to access the innate creative spirit which resides within. I studied Performance and Visual Arts at Brighton University, before that i studied Theatre, Art and Media at The BRIT School of Performance Arts and Technology. After dabbling in many areas of performance, production, circus, stage, street and conceputial visual arts i find myself carrying with my a basket (a metaphorical one) of tricks and bits.
My main performance outlet these days is as a Performance Poet and i have performed in venues and festivals all around the world.

in July 2010 i left the uk on a trip to cross the world without flying, i took my backpack, my basket of tricks, a bamboo saxaphone and my guitar.... oh and my friend Googley Swan who i am sure you will meet in due time.

as for my performance "skills" I'm a bit of a Jill of all trades, I focus in play, improvisation, voices, vocal expression, physical theatre and movement, costume design...

fire poi, didgeridoo playing, guitar playing, "Acting", directing, Guitar playing, general noise making, climbing things... fooling, clowning, a dabble in hoola hooping and other toy based circus skills, face painting, game playing..... oh and puppetry.... Like i say i travel with a friend called Googley Swan who has gained a little following of buddies around the world and videos too... and meet her in due time you shall :D
